Description
The 34,266 SF, two story medical and regional lock-up facility is the first major construction project of a permanent building on the jail campus since the original West Boylston facility was built in 1973. This facility houses centralized intake and release functions, medical housing unit, medical observation rooms, dedicated isolation rooms with separate anteroom, cells, treatment rooms, detox rooms and offices. Project also includes a new intake vehicle sallyport and security fencing. Maximizing natural daylight into occupied spaces by means of windows, clearstories, and double-height spaces, incorporation of warm finishes and color to create a positive environment for both staff and inmates
