Description

The new on story 11,030 SF URI Welcome Center will be able to accommodate 435 people at the same time. It will include an open reception area where staff can greet visitors and groups can congregate before or after tours. It will also feature two presentation areas for informational sessions, three offices, three mini-conference rooms, flexible “float” offices for staff to use during the busy season, and a large conference room. Outside, pedestrian-friendly walkways and seating visually and physically connect the building to the heart of the campus. This project was designed using VRF system, perimeter heating system in Revit 2016. This building is anticipating LEED Silver certification.
